Countdown to Project 30-90

project 30-90 music festival

new orleans, la

project 30-90 is the first-ever fully carbon neutral and environmentally conscious music festival in new orleans. First held on September 5, 2009, the festival featured performances by Ghostland Observatory, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Charlie Mars, Benjy Davis Project, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, MyNameIsJohnMichael and Generationals on a fully solar powered stage. All our supplies were biodegradeable, recycling was mandatory and we utilized a full slate of environmentally friendly initiatives. We rocked! And we’re coming back to do it all over again….

Thank You!!!

Well, we did it! Project 30-90 has come and gone, and despite a venue change 7 days prior to the show and a torrential monsoon on the day of show, we still managed to pull off a nearly flawless production. We had our hiccups, but all in all we are pleased with the show we delivered: a first-class production powered totally on renewable energy with a full slate of environmentally conscious initiatives to make the event as carbon-free as possible. Doing something like this takes the efforts of many, so my Thank You list is long. I’ll certainly forget someone, and if I do please forgive my slight due to lack of sleep. Without further ado, the big Thank You goes to:

A special thanks to the Downtown Development District of New Orleans

We like to take this opportunity to say thanks to the DDD for all their help and support along the way. If you are not familiar with the Downtown Development District, here your chance to learn more...visit DDD online

The Downtown Development District of New Orleans (DDD) was created by the Louisiana Legislature in 1974 as the nation's first assessment-based business improvement district (BID) to provide enhanced services in economic development, cleaning and safety. The DDD services the area bounded by Iberville Street, the Pontchartrain Expressway, Claiborne Avenue and the Mississippi River. The DDD is governed by an 11-member Board of Commissioners who represent a cross section of the diverse Downtown community. Appointed by local elected officials, our commissioners help guide the policies and programs of the DDD.

Their mission
To drive the development of Downtown New Orleans and be the catalyst for a prosperous, stimulating, innovative heart of the Crescent City.
